The ACP-WI Physician Wellbeing and Professional Fulfillment Committee, in collaboration with the ACP-WI Narrative Medicine Program Committee, is pleased to bring you an opportunity to explore your creative side while connecting in person with other ACP members in the Madison area. From artist Emily Marie, you will learn how to use wet-on-wet and wet- on-dry techniques to paint orchids. The design is printed directly on your watercolor paper, so you don’t have to be good at drawing. Local ACP leaders, Dr. Jennifer Woodard and Dr. Abby Bales, will be present to facilitate discussion and interaction with other participants using Narrative Medicine exercises. Light refreshments will be served. We hope you will join us for this exciting and fulfilling event!
This session is $30, and will include all of the necessary supplies.
About Emily Marie: A former Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) elementary school teacher, Emily Marie started painting mid-pandemic as a way to de-stress after a long day in the classroom. Since then, she has turned her love for watercolors into a career. Emily finds inspiration from her time living in Guadalajara, Mexico as well as her childhood in Wisconsin. In addition to botanical watercolors, she also enjoys painting pet portraits. As a current resident of Madison, Wisconsin, she teaches watercolor classes and workshops throughout Dane County.
