Get Involved with CHASM!

The Collective for Humanism, Arts, and Storytelling in Medicine (CHASM) exists to champion the transformational power of arts-based practices for the medical community. By infusing humanistic values into medical training and discourse, we strive to be a force for equity, kindness, connection, critical thinking, and justice.

We’re inviting faculty, staff, and students to host a CHASM-affiliated lecture or event—either in the classroom or as a co-curricular opportunity. Whether you’re interested in facilitating a conversation on a compelling book, organizing a panel discussion, teaching a humanism-centered workshop, or bringing a speaker to campus, we want to support your vision.

Opportunities include:

  • Guest lectures in existing courses

  • Faculty- or student-led book club sessions

  • Storytelling workshops or narrative medicine events

  • Visual, performing, or literary arts programming

  • Events open to students, faculty, staff, or the broader community

CHASM can help. We have administrative support available to assist with logistics, coordination, and promotion—so you can focus on content and connection.
