We exist to champion the transformational power of arts-based practices for the medical community. By infusing humanistic values into medical training and discourse, we strive to be a force for equity, kindness, connection, critical thinking, and justice.

Meet Our Board

CHASM’s Board of Directors is a cross-disciplinary group of UW faculty united by a shared belief that the arts and humanities make medicine better. Together, we teach, research, and champion humanistic practice across SMPH — and we’re always looking to grow the community.
