Our Mission
Collective for Humanism, Arts, and Storytelling in Medicine (CHASM) exists to champion the transformational power of arts-based practices for the medical community. By infusing humanistic values into medical training and discourse, we strive to be a force for equity, kindness, connection, critical thinking, and justice.
Connecting Across Campus: Our Contributing Departments
Our Board of Directors Welcomes You!
We are a group of UW faculty who lead efforts in the medical humanities and have developed this website to serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff to highlight some of the wonderful work in arts and humanities happening at UWSMPH. We’d love to help you connect with others on campus, incorporate humanistic practices into your teaching and patient care, or publicize your medical humanities initiatives. Please reach out to us!
